Animal Control
The Town of Renfrew has animal control personnel available during the day to respond to routine calls as well as after hours to respond to emergency calls (vicious dogs, etc.).
Municipal by-laws deal only with domestic dogs and cats. Problems individuals may be experiencing with nuisance wildlife (skunks, raccoons, etc.) are not the responsibility of the municipality but may be directed to local professional trappers.

Dogs and cats are not permitted to run at large in the Town of Renfrew. When off the property of the owner, pets must be leashed and under the control of the owner. It is also the responsibility of the owner to pick up after their pet. Fines are as follows:
