History of Our Children's Library

In 1959, the basement was completely renovated and a Children`s Library was established. The first Children's Librarian was Beatrice Gegg. Susan Klinck (picture on right) is the current Head of the Children's Department.

Read, listen, explore, play or do your homework! At the library, there are so many things for you to do. These are available as well as our fiction and non-fiction collections and reference materials:

  • Magazines
  • CDs
  • Books With CDs
  • Programs during March Break and the TD Summer Reading Program
  • Children's computer with internet access and the Early Literacy Station
  • Special themes and holiday activities to encourage kids to read
  • A great French collection too!
