As we start working outside during this time of the year, thinking about our flower gardens and shedding our winter coats, I hope you are excited about this Fun Guide for the spring and summer of 2010.
As you review this guide you will see a number of favorite programs return, as well as a few new activities that you and your family can take part in. Please take the time to review the guide and register early as we anticipate most programs to fill to capacity. |

Over the past year, I hope you have had an opportunity to hear about the Master Plan that the Town is in the process of completing; looking at Parks Recreation and Cultural opportunities and facilities in the Town. This project started in the early part of 2009 with the Town Council and the Recreation committee working with a Recreation consultant to look at what services and facilities we have in the Town of Renfrew and what we should be looking at to meet your Recreation needs over the next ten years. While we are pleased to be completing the study your input is always welcome. I would encourage you to express your opinion, let us know about any facility issues you are aware of or any program ideas that you have. Thanks to all the supporters and advertisers of this guide. Without your help we would not be able to provide this information to our residents.
Finally a big thanks to the great staff of the Parks and Recreation department. Specifically as we work towards summer activities our department will be losing Nadine Partridge to the Kingston area. All the best to Nadine in this new chapter of her life and a big thank-you for the dedication that she has shown to the Town of Renfrew.
Our full time and part time department staff are fabulous!! I applaud their hard work and dedication. Thanks for the difference you all make to the Town of Renfrew!!
