Personal Training Personal training offers you the opportunity to work exclusively with a Certified Trainer whose primary focus is to help you reach new heights in fitness, whatever your goals are. Each session is tailored to meet your individual goals. Personal training sessions are one hour each and cost only $25. |

Forever Active Group Fitness Classes |

Have fun and move to music through a variety of low impact moves with added strength exercises designed to increase range of movement, flexibility, balance and activity for daily living skills. This is a great class for the beginner or the active older adult.

NO SCHOOL? NO PROBLEM! |
We have partnered with the Town of Arnprior to offer exciting and affordable day trips on school PA Days. On Friday February 3, 2012 you can look forward to a day away from Renfrew doing an activity you can’t find here. These trips are geared for youth aged 9 to 15 years of age, but parents are always welcome to join the group. Watch your school newsletters and bulletin boards for more information.

Babysitting Course |
|
This course is geared towards boys and girls 10 years of age and older who are eager to enter the babysitting world. It is an introduction to the roles and responsibilities of babysitting, basic first aid and child care principles. Students are asked to bring an infant sized doll or plush toy, paper with a pen or pencil and lunch and snacks for the day. Each participant will receive their own manual and lots of ideas to start their career as a babysitter.
One day course available: Monday, February 3, 2012 8:30am – 4:30pm (PA DAY)

March Break Camp – Olympic Theme |
|
Geared toward boys and girls 6-12 years of age Join our staff for a week of fun and excitement and everything Olympic. We will spend our days competing in Olympic events, playing games, doing crafts and going on trips around town and beyond. If you didn’t get to see the Olympic torch last time, check it out here and meet a real torch bearer. Join us at the Recreation Centre this March for your chance to own the podium and bring home your own medal. If you have never tried day camp before, this is your chance. If you have camped with us before, join us again for this new themed camp.

Frewfest 2012 |
Saturday January 28 Come out for a day of family fun at Mateway Activity Centre. There will be sleigh rides, snow sculpture competitions, displays, demonstrations, on ice skills competitions, games, lots of indoor activities and much more. Off site you can participate in an ice fishing tournament and back by popular demand is the Red Neck Crash Ice Competition. Something for everyone! Outdoor Ice Pads |
|
We are proud to offer two outdoor ice pads at the Ma-Te-Way Activity Centre.
Hockey Pad Directly behind the Ma-Te-Way Activity Centre. This rink is enclosed with rink boards, protective fencing and has two regulation sized hockey nets.
Leisure Skate Pad This ice pad is located beside the Ma-Te-Way Activity Centre and is intended for leisure skating only. No hockey equipment of any kind is permitted on the ice surface.
Weather Permitting While we are hopeful to have both ice surfaces open all winter, we are dependant on cold temperatures to keep both pads in working condition. Please call our information line at 613-432-3033 to ensure that the surfaces are open for use.
*Please note: Both surfaces are unsupervised. Parents are expected to supervise their children at all times. |

Get Outta Town! |

Join us as we leave the boundaries of Renfrew to enjoy some exciting activities. There is bus supervision, but you are free to swim, skate and socialize on your own once we arrive at our destination. Parental Consent is needed for these out trips and families are always welcome.

Artsy Afternoons |

Sign up for one day or register for all four. These days are sure to be a hit for all ages. We will be doing a different craft each afternoon and you will leave with your creations at the end of the day.

Standard First Aid / CPR |
|
(Level A and C available) The two day certification course is for those looking to fulfill school prerequisites, work requirements or for personal interest.
This course is conducted by a certified First Aid Instructor and grants a three year certification. Topics covered include breathing emergencies, sudden medical illnesses, musculoskeletal injuries, cardiovascular emergencies, AED and more.
Each participant will receive a manual and certification card upon successful completion of the course. February 4/5 (Saturday/Sunday) 8:30am – 4:30pm

Smart Serve Certification |
|
The Smart Serve Training Program focuses on the issues surrounding safe and responsible practices when selling and serving alcohol. It is Ontario’s mandated training for all servers of alcoholic beverages in licensed establishments. Interested individuals can reserve the training kit and DVD by calling the Recreation Centre.
