Posted On: Monday, July 13, 2020Town of Renfrew Signs New Recycling Material Collection Contract with Topps Environmental Solutions
On June 23, 2020 the Renfrew Town Council awarded a three year Recyclable Material Collection Contract to Topps Environmental Solutions (TES) in conjunction with Emterra Environmental for processing recyclable material. The new contract will commence on August 3, 2020 and will run until July 28, 2023.
TES has been fulfilling a temporary recycling contract with the Town since July 2019, and is currently fulfilling a long term contract for curbside garbage collection.
In order to meet the parameters of the new contract, weekly curbside collection for recyclable material will transition from a weekly pick up schedule, to a weekly ROTATION of Co-mingled (glass, plastic, cans, etc) collection and Fibre (paper, cardboard, etc) collection. New collection schedules will be available to all residents indicating which collection material is being collected each week. Please reference our website, facebook page, monthly newsletter OR newspaper ad for more details.
The regular blue box bin can be used each week with appropriate sorted material included. Please ensure all blue box/bins are placed curbside prior to 7:00 a.m. on your day of collection.
More information regarding garbage, recycling and waste management can be found on our website at https://www.renfrew.ca/garbage-recycling.cfm, or by contacting the Development & Works Department at 613-432-8166 x 300.
Thank you for your co-operation and understanding over this past year. We greatly appreciate everyone’s patience as we transition into this new service agreement.
